Since the inception of the gaming industry in the Maltese jurisdiction, Capstone Assurance Ltd has been at the forefront on developing a dedicated and highly experienced team to manage audit and assurance engagements for the remote gaming sector. This initiative has been led by our audit partner, Mr. Kris Baron who has extensive knowledge and experience in the gaming industry.
Following changes to Approved Audit Service Provider Policy, Capstone Assurance Ltd officially attained recognition as an approved ‘Statutory Auditor’ by the Malta Gaming Authority. This approval by the MGA represents a significant milestone for our team, and we are proud to be recognised by the MGA, a testament to our commitment to excellence and adherence to industry standards.

Being an approved System and Compliance Auditor by the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), Capstone Group, can audit and review your systems in line with the MGA’s requirements and industry best practice.
A preparatory or quality-improvement ‘mock’ engagement can also take place which would serve as a general review, with a set action plan that will prepare and assist any operator to undertake and conclude successfully the actual Compliance and Audit Review performed by the MGA.
Mr. Kris Baron, Compliance Partner at Capstone Assurance, was formerly a Systems and Financial Auditor within the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), managing Malta Licensed Gaming Operators and their respective Systems and Compliance Audit Reviews. Mr. Baron is also CISA qualified and leads the firm’s Compliance & System Audit as well as the IS & IT Assurance units of the firm.
